We are developing the PrePower Booster as source for carbon neutral heat.
Empowering humanity in our journey towards a zero emission society.
Heat is the largest energy end use, and accounts for almost half of global energy consumption. About 46% of this energy is used in buildings for space and water heating. 1) Decarbonizing space heating is one of the most challenging tasks in our journey to a carbon neutral society.

Renewable energy is scarce. Heat pumps driven by electricity are the most energy efficient solution, however in many cases these cannot be readily implemented. We are developing the hydrogen-fueled PrePower Booster coupled with heat pump technology to enable faster adaptation of renewable heat sources in the built environment.
Prelectron was founded on the belief that fighting climate change is the key challenge of our generation. The mission of Prelectron is provide a realistic solution for the millions of households needing to decarbonize their heating system. We believe our PrePower Booster can help in solving one of the most challenging questions of our time.
PrePower Booster
An efficient and practical source of renewable heat is critical to the decarbonization of heat sources in the built environment. Our PrePower Booster delivers high-temperature heat and electricity, thereby enabling adoption of energy-efficient heating systems.
In 2050, the energy and resources system in The Netherlands has to be entirely carbon neutral according to the Climate Agreement. This ambition was formulated even before the European carbon reduction targets were tightened from 40% to 55% reduction by 2030.
We could only achieve this ambitious climate goal if we convert the use of natural gas into renewable energy. To get there, we have to combine all available means of sustainable energy and storage. Therefore, we have to manage the adaptation of green hydrogen as a flexible energy vector.
Prelectron would target the adaptation of green hydrogen into the million households in the Netherlands and expand to the rest of continental Europe in the mid long term.
Hydrogen is gathering strong momentum as a key energy transition pillar. Underpinned by global regulators, investors and consumers towards a carbon-free future, hydrogen is receiving unprecedented interest and investment.
Prelectron prepares to play its part in this transition. Our roadmap is as follows:
